4 Super Ways to A Healthy Weight Loss

Forget about the weight loss pills and big fad diets if they ever work. My super ways are practical and sensible to get you into the core of what it takes to achieve a healthy weight loss.

  Have a clear mindset that you are ready to change your  lifestyle. You must be prepared for the effects of the change and to stay motivated on course to achieve the weight goals you have set for yourself. You must be clear and specific as to why you want to lose weight and not just a wish to lose for health reasons. You must practice discipline and be prepared for some small discomfort for big gains later. Your mind and body must act in synergy and in positive vibrations disallowing any negative thoughts that may come along.

Learn and discover what healthy nutrition is all about. Read  up on proteins, the carbs, good and bad, the fiber and the  right fats necessary for a healthy bodily function. What can  each of these categories contribute to your well being and  what are the best sources. Use the various free food  calculators to check the calorie content so as to arrive at  an optimum calories you should be eating daily based on your  basic calorie maintenance level. Armed with the right  knowledge, you can plan your own meal preparations and cut  down on dining out where you have less control. Know the  difference between eating to live healthily and emotional  eating. Have more regular meals with lesser portions and  always have a well mix of the food combinations. Never  forget to drink at least 8 glasses of water per day as researches have shown that water can increase the rate of caloric burning.

Devise a simple physical exercise program that you can  adhere to. Start slow in your program before moving on to  strength training. Take a walk outside your house instead of  jogging or running.  A daily stroll or brisk walking for at  least 30 minutes a day will increase your metabolic rate and  helps to burn more calories. There are many simple exercises  that you can do at home such as skipping, aerobic exercises,  swimming which are known to increase weight loss besides the  many other health benefits one can derive from them. If you  get into strength training, start with light weights followed by gradual increases to get your body accustomed to the change slowly. Never rush to carry heavy weights as it may cause injuries instead. Treat you body well and it will treat you well in return.
